Ada Cantrell

Ada Kinley Cantrell, 92, of Academy St. formerly of Gastonia, passed away peacefully August 1, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She was born in Union Co, on January 18, 1922 a daughter of the late Luther and Ila Hargett Kinley. Mrs. Cantrell was a member of Ridge Baptist Church, Gastonia and retired from Ti-Caro Wingate Mill.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Earl Cantrell, infant son James Jerry Cantrell and the three late siblings.

Survivors include her daughter Norma Calhoun (Bill) of Cherryville, granddaughters Glenda Reeves(Jack), Cherryville, Becky Watkins(Junior.) Kings Mountain, Patty Johnson(Gene) Kings Mountain, Cathy Carpenter(Keith), Clover, SC, grandsons Bobby Keith Grayson, Gastonia, Jeff Grayson(Kim) Lake Wylie,, ten great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services at 3 PM with Rev. Chester Waters officiating with burial in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home from 2-2:45.
