Elizabeth Amelia Jane Grigg Ervin, age 80, of Mary's Grove Church Road, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at her residence. She was born on February 2, 1936 in Cleveland County to the late Samuel Andrew and Annie Ellen Dye Grigg. Amelia was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. She graduated from Alabama Nursing College and retired from White Oak Manor as a nurse. She enjoyed playing the piano and listening to Country and Gospel music. Amelia also enjoyed traveling, flowers, NASCAR and was a Jeff Gordon fan. She loved animals, especially her dog, Cupcake.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother and a sister, Ruby Ellen Grigg.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Edward Eugene Ervin; daughter, Wanda Jane Ervin Gosnick of Shelby; sons, Tracy Edward Ervin of Shelby and Jason Eugene Ervin and wife, Lori of Shelby; and granddaughters, Jessica Lynn Gosnick of Shelby and Kaila Lee Hollifield of Bostic.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Buffalo Baptist Church with Rev. Macky Turner and Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 to 2:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
