Ann Cash

Ann Margaret Whitworth Cash, age 89 of Brown Waterson Rd. passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at her residence. She was born March 14, 1927 in Cleveland County to the late James Lester and Susanna Barrett Whitworth. Ann was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed decorating and traveling, especially to the mountains as well as to the coast. Ann would go for afternoon rides and loved being out in nature.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, J.L. Whitworth.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Billy Ray Cash; children, Burl Turner and wife, Cindy of Shelby, Katherine Queen and husband, Ronnie of Kings Mountain, Kay Carpenter of Cherryville, Linzy Turner and wife, Pamela of Lincolnton, and Syble Turner of Cherryville; siblings, Russell Whitworth of Cherryville, Mason Whitworth and wife, Debbie of Lincolnton, and Willie Mae Mayhue of Cherryville; nine grandchildren, Keith, Rhonda, Lisa, Diane, Kim, Richard, Shon, Christy, and Sandra; and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Key officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services.
