Barbara Dover

Barbara Gold Borders Dover, 73, of West Old Post Road died Jan. 15, 2014 at Carolina Care Center.
She was born on August 23, 1940 in Cleveland Co. a daughter of the late John Freeman and Minnie Gold Borders.

Mrs. Dover was a graduate of No 3 High School Cleveland Co, Appalachian State University and was and educator and leader of young minds. She was a beloved teacher taught at Elizabeth, Washington and Waco Elementary schools and Cherryville High school with 35 years of service. Barbara enjoyed her beach home, her computer, adored her grandchildren and her animals.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years John Randolph "Todd" Dover, daughter Susan Reynolds(Bobby Dale), Cherryville, son Keith Dover(Lisa) of Cherryville, three grandchildren Cortney Dover of Cherryville, Drew Reynolds of Greenville,NC and Greyson Dover, Cherryville.

The family will receive friends Thursday at the home of Susan and Bobby Dale Reynolds , 102 Nemans Cove, Cherryville from 5-7 PM. A private memorial service will be held later.
