Bill Hager

Billy Monroe Hager, age 62 of Landers Church Road passed away April 3, 2018. He was born May 11, 1955 in Mecklenburg County to the late Morris Elwell and Vidie Ilene Stilwell Hager. He graduated from Appalachian State University and was in the Peace Corps for two years. He was a veterinarian as well as a USDA inspector. Bill enjoyed volunteering at the Carolina Raptor Center where he shared his love for birds along with all other seeanimals.

Bill is survived by his wife, Patti Greene Hager of Lincolnton and numerous other family members.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating.
