Charles "Charlie" Jones

Charles David Jones, age 63, of Cherryville, passed away May 12, 2025, at Atrium Health Cleveland. Charlie was born on August 26, 1961, in Lincoln County, to the late Jimmie Earl and Patricia Smith Jones. He was an over the road truck driver, he loved traveling all over the U.S. He loved watching Nascar and going to races when he was able. Charlie was a proud papaw of six grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving and caring wife of 42 years, Annette Dellinger Jones, of the home; two sons, Jesse Jones and wife, Jennifer, of Taylorsville, and Travis Jones and wife, Dana, of Cherryville; a sister, Lavon Richard and husband, Dayton, of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Abigail Jones, Missy and Mikey Brown, Axel Jones, and Adalynn and Brayden Drewery.

In accordance with Charlie’s wishes, the family will have a private gathering at their home.
