Daniel Ray Grigg, age 43 of Cherryville and Charlotte, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016. He was born on June 28, 1972 in Cleveland County to Heyward Ray and Ella Costner Grigg of Cherryville. Daniel was employed with Reliance Paper. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Cherryville. Daniel was a songwriter and the lead singer in the band The Wiggle Wagons. He also enjoyed reading and going on walks.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Shane Grigg of Belmont; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 3:00 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Eric Childers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services.
