David Moss

David Ronald "Ronnie" Moss, age 70 of Woodvale St. passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Carolinas Healthcare, Cleveland. He was born on April 12, 1945 in Gaston County to the late Everett Vernon and Annie Sue Moss. Ronnie was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars. Ronnie graduated from Cherryville High School and attended Kings Business College. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed photography. His greatest hobby was spoiling his granddaughters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Conn Moss; sister, Patricia Ann Moss; and infant brothers, Earl Ray Moss and Gary Scott Moss.

Survivors include his wife, Hazeline Conn Moss; son, Jack Everett Moss and wife, Tonya of Yadkinville; and granddaughters, Marley Grace Moss and Kinley Faith Moss.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 3:00 PM at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Collins, D. Min. officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery with Full Military Honors conducted by Cherryville American Legion Post #100. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services.
