Evelyn Hanlin

Evelyn Pauline Overcash Hanlin, age 91 of Cherryville, formerly of Largo, Florida died on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Peak Resources. She was born on February 17, 1925 in Rowan County to the late Jacob Odell and Elsie Mae McDaniel Overcash. She was formerly employed in Largo at Enterprise Art and loved dancing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis A. Hanlin; son, Jimmy Hanlin; grandchildren, Michael Hanlin and Christy Moore; and siblings, Billy Overcash, Margaret O. Overcash, Kenneth Overcash, and Douglas Overcash.

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Hanlin and wife, Carolyn of Cherryville and Terry Hanlin of Largo, Fla; grandchildren, Penny Miller of Morganton, Raven Carpenter of Sherrills Ford, Kenneth Hanlin of Cherryville, Casey Rae Floyd of Cherryville, and Jamie Hanlin of Largo, Fla; great grandchildren, Destiny Miller, Cody Miller, Tanner Short, Emma Rae Walker, Avery Ray Floyd, and T.J. Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services followed by a memorial service. A graveside service will take place at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, Florida.
