Glenn Dellinger

David “Glenn” Dellinger, age 78, of Pink Street, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at his residence. He was born June 27, 1947, in Lincoln County to the late Paul Webster Sr. and Illa May Byrd Dellinger.

Glenn was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army and a member of Cherryville American Legion Post #100. He was employed at Mohican Mills for nearly 13 years and retired from Shelby Dyeing and Finishing after 20 years. Glenn enjoyed fishing and gambling. He loved everybody and especially his grandkids.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jr. Dellinger; and sisters, Teeny Schronce, and Bea Carpenter.

Survivors include his sons, Chad Dellinger (Crystal), and Zac Mayhue (Mandy); daughters, Jody Welch (Gary), and Donna M.; grandchildren, Ashley Osment (Devin), Derek Dellinger, Skyler Woodard, Storm Cook, and Brittany Cantrell; great-grandchildren; Collin Dellinger, Kinsley Dellinger, Landon Booth, Everleigh Dellinger, and one on the way, Haiden Cooper Osment.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Zac Mayhue officiating. Military Honors will be given by American Legion Post #100.
