Harold Edwards

Harold Lee Edwards, age 82, of Lincolnton, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Peak Resources in Cherryville. Harold was born February 26, 1944, in New Philadelphia, Ohio, to the late William Joseph and Arline Edna Moser Edwards.

Harold received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron and was a Purchasing Manager at Timken for many years. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and recently became a member of First Wesleyan Church in Cherryville. Harold enjoyed watching sports and learning about history. He loved to read the Bible and he loved eating desserts. He adored his grandchildren and always looked forward to babysitting them when they were younger, and spending time with them as they got older.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara “Dabo” Hayes Edwards; and brother, Dick Edwards.

Survivors include his sons, Harold Edwards II (Carrie), Douglas Edwards (Paige), and Michael Edwards; brother, Joe W. Edwards (Linda); sister, Sharline Bailey (Jim); grandchildren, Hannah Tibbs, Maddie Svienty, Turner Edwards, Cooper Edwards, Logan Edwards, Wade Edwards, Lilly Edwards, Will Edwards, and Piper Edwards; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Asbury Methodist Church, in Lincolnton, with Rev. Natalie Gray officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:15 PM, prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
