Harold Eugene Self, age 78 of Allen St. died Friday, December 25, 2015 at Wendover Hospice. He was born on January 28, 1937 in Cleveland County to the late William Calvin and Ethel Madge Self Holland. He was a member of Mary's Grove United Methodist Church. Harold was an avid fisherman who was very independent and strong willed.
Survivors include his sister, Mary Frances White and husband, Raeford of Kings Mountain; nephew, Raeford White Jr. and wife, Shirley of Kings Mountain; niece, Lori Ann Henderson and husband, Bradley of Grover, NC; and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 3:00 PM at City Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Tim Whitesides officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
