Howard "Eddie" Harris

Howard Edwin “Eddie” Harris, age 70, of Cherryville, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at his home. He was born January 13, 1956, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Howard and Ometta Lipe Harris.

Eddie was a goldsmith and enjoyed panning for gold. He was also a jeweler and an inventor. Eddie had many interests and talents, including learning to fly small airplanes and scuba diving.

Survivors include his children, Eric Nolen, Angie Tiping Haynes, and Jamie Harris; sister, Suzanne Lacount (Randy); former wife, Kathy Blanton Harris; and grandchildren, Kailey Brown, Tayla Tessneer, Miles Hayes, Daisy Nolen, and Dixie Price.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home, with Pastor Doug Goforth officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
