Iris Osment

Iris Delores Bivens Osment, 55, of 300 "C" Street, died Wednesday June 19, 2013 at the Robin Johnson House. She was born in Lawndale on December 14, 1957. Mrs. Osment was a homemaker, owner of a house cleaning service and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years Ricky Osment, her mother Peggy Roberson of Cherryville, three children Joey Silver(Kathy) of Lexington, NC, Kimberly Jones(Tracy) of Cherryville, and Savannaha Osment of Cherryville, eleven grandchildren and a sister Brenda Roberson of Cherryville.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday at Shady Grove Baptist Church at 1 PM. with Rev. Tim Robbins officiating. The family will receive friends at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services Saturday from 6-8 PM and at other times at the home.
