James Biddix

James Leon Biddix, 72 of Banner Elk, formerly of Lincolnton, died Aug. 13, 2015 at Cannon Memorial Hospital, Banner Elk, NC. He was born on Sept. 26, 1942 in Gaston Co. a son of the late Roy and Anna Biddix. He was a member of Roseland Baptist Church, retired from American Tire in Maiden and was a Marine Corp veteran.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Sharon Sue Dixon, step son Colin Bumgarner and several brothers

Survivors include his wife Gladys Warlick Biddix, a son James Leon Biddix, Jr. and wife Teresa, step daughter Connie Smith, step son Randy Bumgarner, sister Connie Gibbs, one granddaughter and fourteen step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 PM at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating with burial to follow in Roseland Baptist Church Cemetery, Lincolnton. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 2-2:45 PM
