James Capps

James Michael Capps, age 57, died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Carolinas Health Care - Cleveland. He was born April 28, 1958 to Charles Lee Capps of Cherryville and the late Ruby Elliott Capps. James was formerly employed at Food Lion. He found joy in fishing and doing yard work.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Moore.

In addition to his father, he is survived by a brother, J.R. Capps (Ann) of Blacksburg; Sisters, Fonda Brittain (Joey) of Waco, Lisa Woody (David) of Liberty, SC, and Cynthia Bowen (Steve) of Bessemer City; daughter, Kendra Mariotti; grandchildren, Victoria Mariotti and Bentley Mariotti; and special cousin, Glenda Hogue of Chester, SC.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 at First Baptist Church at 3:00 PM with Dr. Vince Hefner officiating. Burial will be private. Family will receive friends Saturday from 1:30 until 2:45 PM at the church.
