Jay Daniel Butler

Jay Daniel Butler, age 35, of Charlotte, passed away June 30, 2026, at RHA Howell Care Center in Charlotte. Jay was born August 27, 1990, in Lincoln County, to the late Marshall “Gene” and Maria Cordell Butler.

Jay was a movie lover, particularly horror movies. He also liked Star Wars, Spiderman, and trains. Jay loved the holidays. He loved getting attention, gifts, and fireworks, but he especially loved Halloween.

Survivors include his sisters, Jessica Dawn Wylie (Bobby Joe), and Laura Moreno (Jonathan); niece, Alisia Amber Gold; grandmother, Reba Cordell; and numerous aunts and uncles.

No formal funeral services will be held.
