Jerry Wayne Beck

Jerry Wayne Beck, age 74, of Newland, passed away June 12, 2025, at Watauga Medical Center. He was born November 13, 1950, in Gaston County, to the late Samuel L. Beck and Loyse Hull Smith. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Anna Whitworth Beck; and son, Jonathan Beck.

Survivors include his daughters, Melissa Marie Shanckle, and Stephanie Lauren Byrd; grandson, James “Cordae” Jackson; and other extended family and close friends.

A private burial will be held at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
