Jessie Brittain

Jessie Dwayne Brittain, age 66, of Lincolnton, passed away March 10, 2026, at Levine and Dickson Hospice House of Huntersville. He was born November 3, 1959, in Cleveland County, to the late Jessie Fred and Martha Marie Brown Brittain.

Jessie was a veteran of the United States Army and a self-employed trim carpenter. He was a member of Plains View Baptist Church in Lawndale. Jessie loved coffee and a greasy bucket of KFC chicken. More than anything, he loved his grandbabies, who were his pride and joy. Jessie had a unique sense of humor, which persisted until the end, even stating he wanted to be cremated to have a “smoking hot body one last time.”

In addition to his parents, Jessie was preceded in death by his son, Quinton Justin Brittain.

Survivors include his children, Jennifer Brittain Wilson (Quincey), Matthew Ross Brittain (Karen), Tiffany Kay Brittain (Thomas), and Maranda Marie Brittain; brothers, Danny A. Brittain (Mendy), Marty R. Brittain (Brenda), and John M. Brittain (Deanne); and grandchildren, Caleb, Elizabeth, Ayden, Alexia, Louis, Jaxon, Cleveland, Jr., and soon to be born grandbaby, Thomas, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Plains View Baptist Church in Lawndale, with Rev. Wayne Key officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 3:45 PM, prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with military honors provided by American Legion Post #100 .
