Jimmy Dean Poston, age 67, of Crouse, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at Carolinas Medical Center – Charlotte. He was born September 2, 1958, in Sumter, SC, to the late Joseph and Mary Poston.

Jimmy was a former Sherrif Deputy for Lincoln County. He liked being outdoors deep-sea fishing and spending time at the flea market, where he enjoyed wheeling and dealing, talking to his friends, and occasionally selling or buying items. More than anything, Jimmy loved his grandkids and the light of his life, Terry.

Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Terry Smith Poston; children, Steven “Trey” Poston (Jackie), Amber Lois Vullo (Nick), and James Caleb Poston (Kaitlynn); and grandchildren, Grace, Elijah, Jacob, James Dean, Jr., Klarissa, Ashlynn, and Triston.

In accordance with Jimmy’s wishes, no formal services are scheduled.
