Kenneth Grigg

Kenneth "Dwayne" Grigg, age 38 of E. Academy St. died Friday, October 2, 2015 at his residence. He was born on November 4, 1976 in Gaston County. Dwayne was a member of First Wesleyan Church and he held three Master's Degrees from UNC Charlotte. He enjoyed computer programming, loved animals, and was a fan of the Carolina Panthers. Dwayne simply loved life.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gaston T. and Sylvia D. Grigg; and maternal grandfather, John R. Smith, Sr.

Survivors include his parents, Kenneth Gaston and Teddy Smith Grigg of Cherryville; sister, Karrie Elizabeth Grigg of Charlotte; and maternal grandmother, Helen P. Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services with Dr. Eddie Grigg officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
