Margaret Mcswain

Margaret Jane Harrelson McSwain, age 62, of Greenhaven Dr. passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at her residence. She was born July 13, 1955 in Gaston County to the late Grimes Sr. and Joy Nance Harrelson. Margaret was retired from Rutherford County Schools as an education specialist and previously taught in Lincoln and Catawba County as well.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ricky McSwain.

She is survived by her children, Lewis McSwain and wife, Amanda of North Brook and Holly Dawkins and husband, Allen of Lawndale; grandchildren, Amber and Mason Dawkins; and siblings, Grimes "Tarpie" Harrelson, Jr. of Cherryville, Alice Harrelson of Cherryville, Rev. Claudia Harrelson of Cherryville, and Sylvia Ganier and husband, Al of Nashville.

A celebration of life will be held at the home, 3121 Greenhaven Dr., Lawndale, NC on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Burial will be private.
