Matthew Demmery

Matthew Shawn Demmery, age 22, of Kiser Rd. passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017. He was born on October 8, 1994 in Mecklenburg County to Lori Ann Sneed Demmery of Bessemer City and Robert Scott Demmery of Margate, Florida. Matt graduated from North Gaston High School. He loved basketball, especially the New York Knicks, and enjoyed watching wrestling.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Bobby Demmery Jr. of Charlotte; sister, Ashley Demmery of Davie, Fla.; maternal grandparents, Robert and Linda Sneed of Bessemer City; paternal grandparents, Dean and Gerri Demmery of Matthews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Mountain View Free-Will Baptist Church, 682 Dallas Spencer Mtn. Road, Dallas, NC with Rev. Don Payne and Rev. Max Turpin officiating. Burial will be private. Family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 1:45 PM at the church.
