Phyllis Weaver Thompson, age 72, of Polkville Road, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at her residence. She was born September 17, 1953, in Gaston County. Phyllis had a great love for the outdoors. She enjoyed her annual trip to Surfside Beach where she would go pier fishing. She also enjoyed playing card games and board games with her family. Always looking to find a great deal, Phyllis was an avid yard sale goer. And whether it be outdoors or indoors, her greatest joy came from playing with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her late Pomeranian, Foxxy.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Rinaldi and husband, Matthew, Sr.; grandchildren, Chris Weaver and wife, Britni, Christian Rinaldi, and Matthew Rinaldi, II; great grandchildren, Carter Weaver, Nikolas Weaver, and Rylee Weaver; and best friend, P.J. Bell.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Toby Bird officiating.
