Renee Payne

Sherry Renee Payne, age 67 of Oak Grove Rd. passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Carolinas Healthcare in Kings Mountain. She was born July 22, 1949 in Mecklenburg County to the late Thomas Vernon and Margaret Altman Payne. NaeNae attended Good News Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. She loved music, singing, and playing the guitar. NaeNae also enjoyed all things jewelry and watching tv.

Survivors include her sisters, Tonda Cook of Lincolnton, Frances Payne of Gastonia, Barbara Goins and husband, Anthony of Maiden, Becky Payne of Clover, and Amanda Crawford of Maiden; her special fur-babies, Gaby and Jack; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Sam McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
