Rita Rogers Ginaine

November 2, 1945 — February 28, 2025

Rita Rogers Ginaine, daughter of T.C. and Joyce Rogers, was born on November 2, 1945, and died on February 28, 2025, at her home in Sunset Beach, NC. She was a very private person and very few people knew she had been fighting Multiple Myeloma for the past thirteen years. Even though the disease finally took her life she was a valiant and brave fighter to the end. Education was an important part of her life. She was Salutatorian of the Cherryville High School class of 1963. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degrees from East Carolina University and her Certificate of Advanced Studies at UNCC. She spent her career as a Media Specialist and School Administrator in Gaston, Robeson and Cumberland counties.

She was preceded in death by her parents, T.C. and Joyce Rogers, husband, Gerry Ginaine, and nephew, Neman Bates. Survivors include daughter, Danielle Bordeaux (Murray) Fink of Huger, SC and siblings Hilda Rogers Bates of Cherryville, NC and brother, Michael (Beth) Rogers of Sunset Beach, NC. Other survivors include granddaughters Madeleine Fink Robertson of Southsea, England and Sadie Fink of Brooklyn, NY. Nieces and nephews include Jennifer (Michael) Philbeck of Cherryville, NC; Meredith Edmister of Trent Woods, NC; Laura Massey of Land O’Lakes, FL; and Dillon (Kayla) Rogers of Midland, NC. In addition, she is survived by ten Great Nieces and Nephews.

Burial will be private in Cherryville.
