Robert Richmond Randolph, age 86, of Bessemer City, was welcomed joyously to his Heavenly Home by his loving wife Faye, and his beloved dog Bandit, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. He was born May 4, 1940, in Polk County to the late Mozelle and Avery Randolph.
Robert enjoyed time with family and friends, cooking for those he loved, watching western television shows, fishing (even when “the big ones” got away), and fixing golf carts.
Family include his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Mark Lamphiear of Gastonia, NC; daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Lana and Kelvin Chanarkasingh of Hickory Grove, SC; Mark and Lana’s children and their spouses; George and Sarah Lamphiear; Warren (who left us much too soon in 2019) and Dr. Andrea Lamphiear; Veronica and Pete Michel, and Kara and Danielle Chason; and grandchildren, Maximus, Bennett, Wyatt, Garrett, Samson, William, Hayden, Charlotte, and Maura. His extended family includes niece, Marie Newcomer, and her family of Hillsborough, NC; along with brother-in-law, Neil Breedlove, and his family of Stanley, NC.
His loyal and loving friends, who also were his family, especially; Dot Foster, and daughter Alicia; Joe and Cary Infanzon, and family, Jayme Infanzon, and Joni Darieng; Wendy Pender, and son, Jonathan; Gary and Laurie Premo; Ted Sansing; Paul and Denise Spencer, and family, Rich, Austin, Hannah, and Addilyn; Brad and Karen Tate, and family, Jessica and Daisy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services. Friends are invited to speak with the family immediately following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice at www.Carolinacaring.org/our-foundation, or to a charity of your choice.
