Evelyn Roper
Sarah Evelyn Roper, 66, of Honey Haven Farm Rd., died Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Hospice of Wendover. She was born in Catawba Co. on May 18, 1948, to the late Frank and Lois Waldrip Swink. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Howard Roper.
Survivors include her brothers, Robert Swink of Lincolnton, and Melvin Swink of Kings Mountain; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:30 PM at St. Paul's United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
