Sarah Williams

Sarah Victoria Williams, 73, of Missionary Dr., died June 4, 2016 at Carolina Care Center. She was born in Cleveland Co. on November 29, 1942, daughter of the late Coleman Isaac and Essie Peaola Cook Williams. Sarah was a member of North Brook Baptist Church, retired manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Cherryville, and formerly operated the Carolina Café at Carolina Freight. In her retirement she was a caregiver to various friends. She enjoyed all of her jobs but found great pleasure in her grandson Justin.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, Coleman Williams, Jr., Mary Sue Eddings Porter, Thurman Williams, and Clayton Williams.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Williams Chapman and husband Warren, of Cherryville; grandson, Justin Chapman; brothers, Jessie Williams of Mooresboro, and James "Butch" Williams of Shelby, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 3:00 PM at North Brook Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Wise and Rev. Ray Pennell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 1:00-2:45 PM and at other times at the home.
