Sharon Safrit Sloop

Sharon Lee Safrit Sloop, age 72, went home to be with the Lord, on August 25, 2024, at Atrium Health Lincoln. Sharon was born February 2, 1952, in Rowan County, to the late Billy Lee Safrit and Margie Louise Yarborough Safrit. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crouse. Sharon worked at General Electric for many years. She enjoyed woodworking and loved to garden. 

Sharon is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Pastor Rick Sloop; daughter, Dara Hedgecock; sister, Carolyn Cooper (David); and nieces, Lori Borras (Rony), and Lisa Leazer (Doug).

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery in Salisbury, with Rev. Josh Copeland officiating.
