Shayne Gantt

Aaron “Shayne” Gantt, age 57, passed away April 24, 2025, at his residence. He was born on July 17, 1967, in Mecklenburg County, to Beverly Barts Gantt, and the late Ronald Gantt.

Shayne was a 1985 graduate of West Lincoln High School. He drove a truck most of his life and was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Autumn Brooke Gantt; his paternal grandparents, G.T. and Kathleen Gantt; and maternal grandparents, Millard and Marie Barts.

Shayne is survived by his mother, Beverly Barts Gantt; son Colten Taylor Gantt; and Colten’s mother, Gina Leatherman Gantt; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in North Carolina and other States.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, May 2, 2025, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
