Steven Miles Watts, 68, son of late Olin and Daphine Dellinger Watts, teacher, philosopher, craftsman, lifelong boy scout, artist, interpreter, author, poet, philanthropist, musician, advocate, historian, movie and television consultant, loving husband, father and grandfather, and everyone's favorite hippie, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully at Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte on Monday, March 21, 2016.
He leaves behind his wife, Cynthia Carson Watts; his daughter and son-in-law, Starwalker Watts Reed and Jonathan Reed, and his two precious granddaughters, Skye Cynthia Reed and Carson Rose Reed all of Gastonia. His Legacy will continue through his students from the Schiele Museum of Natural History in Gastonia where he was employed for over 30 years, and through his workshops he conducted all over the world.
A celebration of life will be held, Sunday, July 24th, 2016 from 2:00 until 4:00PM at Schiele Museum's Aboriginal Studies Center.
